My go-to store for overall food shopping! There are three competing stores that are located twice as close to my house, but I make the trip to Harris Teeter on Kalorama Road NW because I feel they represent the best balance of variety, value, and price. Plus, the staff seem to be well-trained -- they are knowledgeable about the store's merchandise, helpful in assisting me find things, and generally cheerful and polite. The added pluses are a Pharmacy (with helpful, cheerful pharmacists) and free garage parking.
Harris Teeter was a nice and comfy supermarket to hold out from the rain in. There were a lot of good deals. I’ve also never been to a supermarket that used an elevator. Very interesting.
